I'm very fortunate to have lived all my life in London, exploring its secret corners, fascinating architecture, historic pubs, and remarkable stories across 2000 years of history. It would be my pleasure to explore these very special places with you, not least the great sites of Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, Kensington Palace and Hampton Court.
Westminster and Royal London, aristocratic St James and Mayfair are closely linked and offer enjoyable walks, taking in world-famous sites and views, as well as the haunts of spies (including 007), the heart of London’s art world and the home of fine tailoring, with many US and World War II connections.
A guided visit around the amazingly preserved Churchill War Rooms and the surrounding area gives an unparalleled experience of the leadership of Winston Churchill and his staff during the Second World War and the Blitz. A visit to the Imperial War Museum is available for further insight.
The collections of the National Gallery, British Museum, V&A, and National Portrait Gallery rival any in the world and we can discover their dazzling highlights together.
On foot we can explore the nooks and crannies of the both ancient and modern City of London, the original Roman City, traces of which still survive - some below street level - and experience the drama of the Great Fire of London and the Blitz. Just beyond lie the off-the-beaten track areas of Smithfield and Clerkenwell, where Dickens and his characters haunt the streets, along with the atmospheric, piratical old riverside districts of Wapping and Rotherhithe.
The maritime borough of Greenwich offers a UNESCO World Heritage Site of spectacular Royal and Naval architecture, the National Maritime Museum, the Cutty Sark, and green space with fine views over London.
Outside London destinations include: Windsor Castle, Stonehenge's haunting landscape, Oxford's 'dreaming spires' (a 'must' destination for Tolkien and C.S. Lewis enthusiasts) and Shakespeare's home town, Stratford-upon-Avon.
SOME FEEDBACK:
You were so much fun to be with and the time seemed to just fly by. I only hope our paths will cross again. We couldn’t not stop talking about how great you were to be with and how we enjoyed every detail you shared with us about the colorful history of your country.

Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our afternoon with Tim! The man is a walking encyclopaedia of information (and I ask a lot of questions)!! He answered everything but more than that, he gave an unhurried and easy to understand commentary throughout the day which totally enhanced our site-seeing experience. Above and beyond!

The students and I really enjoyed it! Students were so impressed and talking about it over dinner. Thanks again!
