Sarah Bovill

Hello!  Lovely to meet you.

Having been brought up in the depths of the English Countryside, I have lived in London all my adult life and just absolutely love this city.  And nothing makes me happier than sharing it.

My main mission?  Yes, I know it sounds clichéd, but it’s to make sure you have a great time.  I want you to go away having really enjoyed London, or perhaps, if you live here, a part of London you didn’t know about before.

Maybe you’ll choose a tour of, for example, The Tower of London, Westminster Abbey or St Paul's Cathedral, or perhaps you’d rather take a walk along the South Bank (including a visit to Borough Market – a must for foodies!) or through some of London’s beautiful parks taking in some of the Royal Palaces or through the City of London originally built by the Romans.

Or you might like to take a trip out of London: Windsor Castle or Hampton Court, or further afield such as Oxford or Stratford.  Whatever you choose, I want you to get the best out of it.

Please drop me a line and we can discuss lots of options to ensure you get to see everything you want to see but also enjoy some experiences that you might otherwise miss – from those history-filled hidden alleyways to a cosy traditional English pub.

I’ll really look forward to hearing from you and to making your time with me truly memorable!

Sarah

Reviews:

"Sarah is incredibly knowledgeable about everything London! We did the 8-hour tour and she knew the right time to spend at each attraction. On things she wasn't able to go into with us, like the Crown Jewels at the Tower of London, she showed us with her iPad what to look for before we went in. She took us to fun places like Borough Market, where we had a fabulous lunch. Her timing was great with everything. Most of all, Sarah was a really fun person to hang out with; on an 8-hour tour, that's important!!" MC

"Sarah was a fantastic guide. She was friendly, had a terrific sense of humor, fun personality, and was very well informed. We didn’t want to see her go and truly enjoyed her company. It was/is the highlight of our trip. She’s a gem and the tour was such a rich experience because of her vast knowledge/brilliant storytelling." LT

"Sarah entertained our grandchildren with deliciously gory and entertainingly fun stories about the Tower. They learned so much and didn’t even notice it was “history”." SM

"Sarah was amazing. She was great with the kids and adapting the plan as the day went along. You are lucky to have her. An extremely knowledgeable and professional tour guide with a great sense of humour and the ability to relate to guests of all ages." BS

"We loved Sarah! She was very informative, was able to accommodate the tour based on the interests of our son and in general was lovely to be around." SH

"Sarah was an amazing tour guide. She was very well spoken, knowledgeable about the Tower of London, and communicated the history in an entertaining and enjoyable manner. Her tour was the highlight of our trip!!" JD

“It’s hard to describe our family’s time with Sarah in just a few sentences - she took our trip to an unexpected level of fun, warm-heartedness, and education.  Sarah stayed with us for the better part of a week and traveled with our loud, boisterous American family from site to site and city to city.  She was kind, thoughtful, informative, and welcoming - and when we changed things on her at the last minute or discovered a curveball in our plans, she was quick to try to make the experience as easy and entertaining for us as possible.  We visited well over a dozen places with her, and she had well-researched the history and literature of each one, sharing all kinds of historical tales and adventures.  She invited our questions, and though she usually knew the answers to them, she took the time to research and get back to us on the rare occasion that she didn’t.  She even made the car rides fun, talking with our daughters and encouraging them to learn and play some imaginative games.  Sarah wasn’t just our guide - she quickly became our friend, and she made England feel like a second home.  We highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a guide in London!” DT

"Sarah was a great tour guide. So informative and terrific (and patient) with our kids. Kept them engaged the entire time. Couldn’t have asked for a better guide for both adults and kids." NL

"Dear Sarah, I wanted to say thank you again for our wonderful trip to Windsor. You were so kind and generous to my mother, my wife, and our 2 boys. Our day at Windsor and Runnymede was by far the best of the trip." SW

The Special Occasions When the Famous Crown Jewels Leave the Tower of London

The Tower of London is one of the most popular sites in our capital city, attracting more than 2.8 million visitors a year. One of the main draws is the Jewel House, located in the heart of the Tower grounds. It contains some of the most precious gems you’re ever likely to see: the royal ceremonial regalia known as the Crown Jewels.
