Nigel Haynes
Over 30 years ago I chose to make London my home, and in that time I have grown to love this crazy, colourful city for all it has to offer. A 21st Century City; 'the capital of the world' according to Time Magazine, London is also steeped in 2,000 years of history with instantly recognisable iconic sights around every corner (well, most of them at any rate) .
Let me show you around this amazing city, and follow in the footsteps of great thinkers, poets and playwrights, of mighty kings, terrible murderers and of at least one boy wizard.......The only city in the world to boast 4 UNESCO World Heritage sites join me as we share some of the stories that shaped this incredible place.
After working in 'The City' as we call the financial hub of London for many years, and dabbling in lots of other things (I'm also a West End playwright, a Magistrate, and qualified fine-art auctioneer) I decided several years ago to seek to follow my love of history and story-telling to become a Blue Badge Tour Guide and embarked upon a gruelling 2 year course and lots and lots of exams. Now that's all successfully behind me, lo and behold a pesky virus by the name of Covid comes along and makes visiting London a tad more troublesome than before.
I run tours for families, individuals as well as corporate groups and whilst I can tailor a tour to whatever itinerary you may desire I am (in these strange days) also offering a range of Virtual Tours delivered via Zoom to the safety of your home. Please feel free to contact me if there's anything you'd like to discuss; I'm constantly working on new talks and walks and if I haven't prepared one yet on your favourite topic, then drop me a line and I'll see what I can do.
For your peace of mind, I am 'Good To Go' Registered, which is the industry wide consumer standard that provides you with a ring of confidence that I have undergone a Covid assessment.
Thank you for visiting my profile, and I hope to meet you virtually or in person in the near future.
