Mary Drysdale
I am an award-winning Blue Badge Guide and have an MA in Modern History from the University of Oxford. Before deciding to train as a Blue Badge Guide I worked as a teacher, in sales and marketing, in executive search and latterly as a fund-raiser for a political party.
As a Londoner I live and explore this great city every day of my life and I love bringing London's past to life for my clients. London is about the present as well as the past - it is a diverse, vibrant, global city with so much to see, experience, marvel at and enjoy.
Popular tours include the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Churchill War Rooms, the British Museum, St Paul’s Cathedral, National Gallery, Victoria & Albert Museum, Kensington Palace, Windsor Castle and Hampton Court Palace.
My walking tours include Royal London, Westminster and St James, the City, Street Art, Wicked Women and Southwark & Bankside.
I also take tours beyond London to Stonehenge and Salisbury, Bath, Kent, the Cotswolds, Stratford and Oxford. My speciality tours include the gardens and country houses of Kent and East Sussex and Ted Lasso tours around Richmond and SW London. I am an in-house guide at the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club
Additional interests include theatre, fashion, art & design and the royal family. All my tours are bespoke, and I am happy to discuss the creation of a new tour to fit the client’s interests.
I love working with families and am undaunted by the challenges of making London accessible to all age groups. All my tours are well-researched and are delivered with energy and enthusiasm.
