Spot the London Icon, no not me the London Black Taxi.
I am a London Blue Badge Guide having undertaken almost 2 years of rigorous study, but for almost 30 years I have also been a London Taxi Driver (4 years study). A driving tour in London with me as your guide will be in my air conditioned iconic London Taxi complete with panoramic roof. Plenty of photo stops, and then depending on your requirements the tour can include visits to any of London's major sites.
The ability to guide within many of these sites is exclusive to holders of the Blue Badge qualification.
I have lived in London all of my life, and am passionate about its' history. I've discovered my dream job, having the opportunity to share that passion and love of my home city with visitors.
As a Driver Guide I can also accommodate tours to many sites outside of London. The Cotswolds, Windsor, Bath, Stratford-upon-Avon, Stonehenge, Oxford, Canterbury, Greenwich and Hampton Court Palace.
I enjoy all of these visits, I live in Greenwich, and I sung at the coronation concert at Windsor Castle so maybe I have a soft spot for those.
My interests are fairly general, I'm just as much at home in the British Museum as on the Cutty Sark in Greenwich. I have a particular interest in Winston Churchill, so join me for a visit to the Churchill War Rooms or a day trip to Blenheim and Oxford
