To me London is the greatest city in the world and it gives me great pleasure to guide people around this vast metropolis, that spreads over 600 square miles! One of the best things about the city is the wealth of things to see and do for all - especially families.

I was born and raised in South London, spent my twenties living in East London and now live within walking distance of King’s Cross in North London - all of which has given me a greater understanding of the city as a whole. 🥰

Before guiding I had the privilege of spending most of my working life within some of London's finest royal palaces, such as H.M. Tower of London (home to the Crown Jewels), Kensington Palace (residence of Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge), Hampton Court Palace (pleasure palace of King Henry VIII) and the Banqueting House (where you’ll find the spectacular 16th century ceiling paintings by Rubens). 😃
Allow me to give you a royal welcome! 🎺😄
I'm very much an all-rounder and am happy to guide people of all ages and interests as a group, family, couple or an individual visitor. London really has something for everyone on all budgets and is changing all the time and is an exciting place to be.
The city has a history that spans over 2,000 years. Allow me to help break it down for you and make sure that you get the most out of your visit. I'm very flexible and happy to tailor a tour and/or put together an itinerary, making suggestions based on your specific requirements and interests.

As a fully trained (2 x years of study and successfully passing 11 x rigorous exams), insured and professional London Blue Badge Tourist Guide I'm qualified to provide tours of the top sites, areas, museums, attractions and religious spaces found in the city and beyond... for example Stonehenge, the oldest pre-historic monument in the country, or Windsor Castle - the oldest and largest lived in castle in the world, favourite home of H.M. Queen and wedding venue of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
In London itself, perhaps it's your first time here?

For a half day tour, I'd suggest we start with the area of Westminster located in the centre of London, where some of our most iconic buildings and spaces can be found including Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St James's Park (where Changing of the Guard is performed), Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and/or interior tours of Westminster Abbey (our royal church where royal coronations and weddings take place and where many of our earlier kings and queens are buried) or the Churchill War Rooms (the underground British command centre during WWII).

The British Museum (BM) is a must-see when visiting London. The BM is the most visited museum in the U.K. and home to some of the finest objects from the ancient world. Including the Egyptian Mummies, the Rosetta Stone and the Parthenon Marbles from Ancient Greece. What most people don’t know though, is that the BM collects items not just from ancient times but from the modern too, right up to the present day in fact. Items such as the 300yr old Akan drum (the earliest African-American object in the BM) and recent acquisitions include an £10 Princess Di Banksy banknote. Over 70,000 objects are on display of 7,000,000+ in the collection. Allow me to show you the highlights in a fun and accessible way.

Greenwich on the south side of the River Thames in south-east London is a fantastic place to visit too, for all the family. The area is known for it’s royal and naval connections. You’ll find gorgeous, expansive classical architecture and a whole host of fascinating museums and attractions to explore such as the Royal Observatory (where time begins), the National Maritime Museum, the Cutty Sark (tea-clipper, ship) and the Queen’s House, home to a fine collection of paintings featuring many of our Tudor and Stuart kings, queens and in-betweens 😜 ... Greenwich Park is glorious too (one of the largest green spaces in London) and Greenwich Market is a must for lunch. Street food, delicious desserts ... you’ll find it all here. You can drive to Greenwich of course but it’s way more exciting to board a Thames Clipper, just 20 x mins distance from Tower Pier (Tower of London) or ride the Docklands Light Railway (monorail), about 30 x mins distance from Tower Gateway to Cutty Sark for Maritime Greenwich station. The kids will love sitting at the front of this driverless train and pretend that they are the ones driving instead! 👍

On a full day tour... we could continue to Borough Market (the oldest and largest food market in London) for lunch via a black taxi or even hop aboard a Thames Clipper (river-boat) and head to St Paul’s Cathedral (London’s church) or HMS Belfast (an actual WWII battleship/light cruiser), Tower Bridge or the Tower of London, where I can introduce you to the famous Yeoman Warders/Beefeaters and some of the 8 x Tower Ravens. 🖤

A great many other tour options are possible of course.

Contact me for more information and I look forward to welcoming you to London and the UK! 🤗 🇬🇧 ❤️ 💙

What people say:
“Thank you so much for all of your help while we were in London. We loved our tours, especially the Changing of the Guard. It was such a special experience, Also, Danny is a fantastic tour guide. Sydney absolutely loved him. He's the best! Hope the rest of your summer is great.”
Rachel, Tower of London

“I truly cannot thank you both enough for organizing my tour with Danny. He is an incredible guide... enthusiastic, extremely knowledgeable, personable, and just so lovely to be around — I felt like I was touring the city with a friend (that was of course a London expert!).” Therese, Changing of the Guard and Westminster Walk.

“We all had a fantastic time and Danny was a great hit. He was extremely knowledgeable and the guests are still talking about the venue and its history.  It truly is a spectacular place.”
Henry, Banqueting House

“Our guide was not only knowledgeable but friendly, patient and nice. He provided all of us with not only a glimpse of English history but incorporated anecdote which made the history more palatable. Surprisingly, the children learned a lot. If you ever need a guide I would highly recommend Danny.”
Candy, Changing of the Guard, The Royal Mews and London Eye

“I’m emailing to tell you what a fabulous day we had with you.  I would assume its not easy to guide a three generational family - (2) 73 year olds, a forty six year old, an 14 year old and an 18 year old for 9 hours and keep them energized, curious, engaged and happy!  You are a fabulous guide!  We learned so much on our walking tour of London with you.  As you know, my husband and I are familiar with London - and WE learned a lot we didn’t know!  My daughter who has been to London before learned a lot…. And my two granddaughters who have never been to London were mesmerized by what they saw and the stories you told!  You were a particularly terrific guide for them.  You were clear, appropriately :-) played to your audience, were able to reach each of us at the level we were and keep us excited, curious and engages.  You are charming, funny (with a quick smile) and extremely knowledgeable about your wonderful city and its history.   Weaving in the Harry Potter locations and stories, and culminating the trip at station 9and 3/4 was brilliant!  You truly helped facilitate our trip and helped to make it extremely memorable! THANK YOU!” Lois, Full day tour inc; Westminster Highlights, Changing of the Guards, Tower of London and Harry Potter film locations.
