Danielle Cohen
If you want to experience London in a fun, entertaining and family-friendly way, I'd love to show you around. I began my guiding career as a Tour Manager back in the 1990s where I showed American High School kids around Spain, France and England. Since qualifying as a Blue Badge Guide in 2001, I have worked with individuals, large groups, retired Brits, large groups of Primary school children and teenagers. Having young children of my own, I can totally relate to the challenges when travelling with youngsters and so I have developed a series of tours aimed at families. For me, London is still a thrilling place to visit with all its fantastic attractions and historic buildings - who doesn't recognise Big Ben - from simply awesome buildings such as the Tower of London, the Houses of Parliament, Christopher Wren's churches, Victorian architecture and elegant Georgian Squares. Not to mention Buckingham Palace which we can see as part of a Royal Tour and concluded with a tour of Westminster Abbey. All my tours are bespoke - we could be shopping in Harrods in the morning and picking up a bagel in Brick Lane as part of a Jewish London Tour or if you prefer we could concentrate on the street art which might interest teenagers. On another day, you might choose to focus on the younger children with a Harry Potter Tour which is both magical and engaging and will introduce them to some of London's main attractions at the same time. London is home to More than 8 million people hailing from around the globe who collectively have created a cosmopolitan, ethnic diverse destination that influences everything from language, culture, shopping, cuisine to lifestyles. Is it any wonder that London is full of secrets and little known hideaways? As a Londoner, I have a huge catalogue of interesting nuggets. Luckily I don't know how to keep a secret and I'll enjoy sharing them with you.
