Charlotte Drake
"In London everyone is different and that means anyone can fit in." (Paddington Bear)
Hello my name is Charlotte, or Lotty and I’d love to show you around London and beyond.
I love storytelling and the way it moves, engages and excites, connecting people and places with history.
London is a two thousand year old history book, jam packed full of tales. Stories of disaster and devastation - fires, bombs, plagues and destruction, yet it rises time and time again, still standing as the most forward thinking, dynamic, multicultural city in the world!
Bursting with parks and palaces, museums and art galleries, shopping destinations and best of all, the epitome of pomp and circumstance!
Together let's plan a day seeing all the places you might recognise from books or screen, let me bring to life the people and places where the action took place.
If you want the main tourist destinations or even the obscure side streets and alleyways, I've got you covered.
I particularly enjoy championing the voices of people that are often overlooked, I specialise in a Women's London walking tour.
I trained as an actor, performing on stage and screen. My favourite role was playing a Shakespeare baddie Tamora, in one of London's original playhouse theatre on Bankside, The Rose Theatre. One of my favourite walking tour is a Shakespeare tour along the Southbank.
I have a young family of two boisterous boys, so I know the demands of site sightseeing with children. The need to improvise to satisfy little tummies and little legs. My background in teaching and drama is useful for working with large groups. By night I perform stand up comedy, so hopefully we will have a giggle along the way too..
I look forward to hearing from you, you have already made the best decision by choosing the UK as a place to visit, it never disappoints!
