Catherine Raggett
Hi, my name is Catherine and I'd love to take you on a tour!
I have been guiding since April 2018. I grew up in an old market town outside of London, which was close enough that my family and I would regularly go on day trips to museums, galleries and the theatre. While studying French and Italian at the University of Manchester, I spent one year living and studying abroad in both France and Italy, which enhanced my enthusiasm for art and culture.
Throughout my life I have always enjoyed working with children and I continue to love guiding families of all different ages.
I have a passion for sharing my love of history, tailoring my approach to whoever I am guiding. I like weaving all the stories of London and British history together to make a metaphorical quilt for my clients to take home with them.
I specialise in tours showcasing the best of London, Bath, Oxford, Windsor, Stonehenge, Stratford-upon-Avon, Canterbury and the Cotswolds. I would love to show you what all these historically rich places have to offer.
Through my in-depth knowledge of British history and my love for story telling, I can bring to life for you how life has developed over time in Britain.
From the well-known sites in Central London, to London's world-renowned museums and galleries, to getting off the beaten track and to tours focused on sites from your favourite films like Harry Potter, Mary Poppins, or James Bond...I am more than happy to mould your tour to fit your interests!
My tours are fun and adventurous as well as being informative and are for the whole family to enjoy. Please feel free to check out my website: www.londonwithaguide.com where you can see a bit more about me and check out my blog.
