Hello and welcome to London!  Herzlich Willkommen in London!  Bienvenue à Londres!  

I'm British born and bred and have lived most of my life in and around London, with spells in Durham and Bath. Foreign languages were my first love and I’ve lived in France and Germany, always enjoying "getting under the skin" of the places I visit, chatting to locals, wandering off the beaten track and getting an idea of what it's like to live in a place, rather than only ticking off the "must see" tourist sights.

I'm a qualified Blue Badge guide - that's our top guiding qualification requiring 18 months of intensive study and tough exams and means I can give tours inside St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, Windsor Castle and Hampton Court Palace. I can also do day-trips by train, private car or coach to the beautiful cities of Bath (where I once lived), Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon.  As a Camden Guide, I can introduce you to the North London "villages" of Highgate and Hampstead (the location for much of Bridget Jones' "Mad about the Boy"), Amy Winehouse's Camden and beautiful Bloomsbury.  And I love English gardens and gardening!

Career-wise, I'm a trained interpreter and have had fun organising corporate and social events at home and abroad.  As a languages teacher, I've run trips for teenagers in the UK and continental Europe. This has taught me what makes for a memorable day out . . and that a friendly, professional, knowledgeable, flexible guide with a sense of fun makes all the difference.

I would love to welcome you to London and show you some of the places special to me, whether it's your first visit and you want to see the highlights or whether you're a return visitor keen to discover something new.
